Imagine visiting an online shop, and receiving a notification from your browser that this site is not secure. You’re probably not so eager to buy something there and provide this website with private or sensitive information. Whereas a
page's title may be a few words or a phrase, a page's description meta
tag might be a sentence or two or a short paragraph. Everyone likes to see a nicely designed website, but given a choice between a great looking website with little/poor content and a poor looking website with great content, people prefer the latter. They aren’t searching online to look at pretty websites. They’re searching online for a specific reason and if you meet their needs then there’s a good chance that they’ll make a purchase from you, either straight away or in the future. Your title tag on the SERPs will induce your click-through-rates. Let’s see how. Whenever the user types in his query, the Search Engines will highlight those keywords in your title tag thereby improving user visibility and increasing your prospective of your click-through-rates. Content marketing is about creating content that will help Google to find your site and posts and to ensure you rank highly in the search engine results pages. While this is a powerful and useful effect though, it's actually only one part of what content marketing is about.
Keywords are no longer necessary for high rankings
During the life of any website pages come and go. It’s perfectly normal to remove a page, but what can frustrate visitors is finding their journey blocked by a dead page. Worse, a page that is removed loses any importance a search engine has given it. Link building has no single technical definition. If you ask me, I would say link building is doing your best to get high quality websites to link to you. However, a more standardized definition would go like this: Link Building involves acquiring hyperlinks from reputed and high quality websites. Backlinks are the foundation of Google's algorithm for determining a site’s page rank. Billions of searches are performed each month. Knowing how users search and choose results will help you create a strategy that caters to these trends. If you think about it, having a Google Search Console, a Google My Business panel and a G+ account gives your site good representation across a variety of Google’s products, which can’t hurt your discoverability.
Optimization ensures the Website is easy to index
Building links is certainly an essential SEO practice, but Google is still dealing with the manipulation of SERPs via economically minded marketers. However, your link building strategy needs to encompass relevancy. Sometimes you just can’t target a specific keyword on a product or service page of your website – it just won’t fit and look natural. In these instances you can always take advantage of having a blog. Do a quick Google search for that keyword and check what other pages rank. High-speed keyword research is keyword research that’s focused on quickly assessing which words are most viable to optimize website texts for. Without doing proper keyword research, your content SEO strategy could well be completely worthless. Most SEO consults cover a local area. To many users the personalization of search results is helpful and convenient, but an increasing number of users are disturbed by the extent to which the sites they encounter are being shaped by forces outside of their control. A great and fast way to convey your goal is by using headlines and taglines.
Determining Relevance: Trust Your Gut
Gaz Hall, from SEO Hull, had the following to say: "We all know that when it comes to link building, we aim for the authority links in the first place. But they’re also the hardest to land." Google normally takes into account bounce rate and the time spent on a site as ranking factors. If visitors are bouncing away due to navigation confusion and poor content structure, you can be sure that the search bots are too. Take a look at which sites are currently winning the front page for the phrase you are hoping to win. Then, go ahead and link to a few of them within your own content. It can be within the body of the text, or you can include a few links at the bottom with a “More on This Subject” type of call to action (CTA). It may seem like this could lead eyes to a direct competitor, but don’t be afraid to break the mold and link to them anyway. For larger websites, especially those within e-commerce leanings, there are huge SEO wins to be had with snippet optimization. Reacting to reviews appears to be a wise thing to do. That does not mean you should respond to every single review. In my opinion, you should react to negative reviews. Responding to negative reviews will show potential customers how you handle problems and solve solutions to dissatisfied customers.
Address the Audience Directly
Pick a list of words relevant to your business. Then create separate lists of
these keywords for each country. Focus on “long-tail keywords” -- keywords
that are very specific to your business and the products/services you offer. For
example: marketing is a broad keyword that will be hard to get traffic for, and
inbound marketing software is a long-tail keyword with less competition that
will be easier to get traffic for. Writing for humans is just the first part of your SEO strategy and one that works with our next tactic, namely giving visitors what they want. As well as great quality content you need a website that is easy to use and provides a great user experience – in other words, don’t make your visitors think. If your website is hard to navigate, information is difficult to find or the design is too busy then visitors are unlikely to stick around no matter how well written your content is. Use the rel=nofollow tag in the links to websites that you do not trust, you think maybe using spamming techniques or you do not want to help in the search engines. As opposed to general web directories, niche specific directories only accept sites that meet a certain topic criteria. For example, one directory might only accept sites about arts & crafts. Some of these directories are free, while others are paid. The anchor text section clearly shows what text the links pointing to a website has. This is an opportunity to take a look and make sure that the website does not have a spammy anchor text profile.
Focus on what you do best
Mobile SEO should always be a work in progress because there are always new things to improve. Also, technologies arrive or get discarded. Whether or not a specific page ranks for a particular keyword depends largely on the quality of that individual page (content, user experience, number and quality of the backlinks, page load speed etc), and not the quality of your website as a whole. Mobile SEO is – just like regular SEO – all about making sure your site is crawlable and findable. Also, you need stellar performance, great content and a flawless UX. Progressive SEO means technical, analytical and traditional marketing all rolled into one. Many marketers will have seen a technical SEO checklist in their time. Any time a site migration is approaching or a technical audit is scheduled, a checklist tends to appear.
